Acts 2:1-21 is the scripture for today. It describes the birth of the church as the Holy Spirit was unleashed among the disciples. It was a day when tongues of flame appeared and real languages unknown to the speakers were spoken attesting to the risen Christ.
The story of Pentecost is the story of the beginning of the Church. It’s a story that we will investigate over the next few weeks as we look at being the church in a time when society could care less if we are the church.
Apologies for this post being late, but I (Pastor Wayne) am at Annual Conference in Lake Junaluska, North Carolina and free time to post has been limited.
