Our service this morning on the 4th Sunday in Lent combines the Old Testament story about Moses and the complaining people and the story of Nicodemus and Jesus found in Chapter 3 of John’s Gospel. In both stories, we are invited to “look up and live”.
As followers of Christ, we are invited to “look up and live.” In the hymn, Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus, we hear it this way:
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
look full in his wonderful face,
and the things of earth will grow strangely dim
in the light of his glory and grace.
