In this message on the third Sunday of Easter, we find Jesus making another post-Resurrection appearance to the Disciples. This time, the story is told from the perspective of Luke’s Gospel. During this encounter, Jesus invites the Disciples to grab hold of him and hold on for dear life. He demonstrates once and for all that he is as real as they are. He is no ghost or figment of their imagination. He is the real deal.
Jesus is inviting the disciples to experience the real deal. He invites them (and us) to engage in the reality of our current situation and deal with real life issues in the here and now.
