Easter is normally a time of great celebration with family and friends. However, the restrictions placed by our response to the COVID-19 virus are causing us to celebrate Easter differently. Instead of huge crowds at church with family time to follow, we are worshiping online at home and using technology to visit family and friends.
This Easter morning at McFarland UMC, we are celebrating Easter as best we can in a remote environment. We look forward to the day when we can, once again, see each other face to face, share a hug, and a meal together.
Join us this morning in worship with music by David Kammerdiener and Vicki Riddle as Pastor Wayne leads the service. You can find an Order of Worship here if you want to follow along. Our Scriptures are Psalm 118:1-2, 14-24 and John 20:1-18. (Note: If the video link is saying “This video is unavailable…” please refresh your browser. You may need to do this a few times. The video of the worship service is hosted at Facebook and will go live at 11:00 a.m. Eastern. There may be a slight time difference between Facebook and this website – we’re still figuring out the technology)
May we join our voices together to declare:
Christ is risen!
Christ is risen, indeed!
Alleluia!
