The Service of the Longest Night is a time of quiet meditation, familiar carols, and introspection. This service is presented as a gift of the Chattanooga Valley Mission Network which consists of Flintstone, Ft. Oglethorpe, McFarland, Simpson, and St. Elmo United Methodist Churches in the Scenic South District of the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church.
This service of worship is sourced with elements suggested by the Untied Methodist General Board of Discipleship. Liturgists are: the Reverend Justin Keating, Pastor of Flintstone & Ft. Oglethorpe United Methodist Churches; the Reverend Debra Dickerson, Pastor of St. Elmo United Methodist Church; and the Reverend Wayne Cook, Pastor of McFarland United Methodist Church.
