In 1984, the Queen of Rock, Ms. Tina Turner asked, “What’s Love Got To Do With It?” Pastor Wayne explores this question as he looks at Matthew 22:34-40. The greatest commandment is to love God with heart, soul, and mind and to love your neighbor as you love yourself. We can all admit that this is easy to say, but difficult to practice.
Reverend Paul Womack ponders what is means to be a witness. The scripture this morning is Luke 24:46-48. Thank you, Reverend Womack, for substituting for Pastor Wayne as he finishes his vacation. For technical reasons, the presentation this morning provides only an audio of the sermon.
Welcome to our first in-person worship service since March 8, 2020. The topic is focusing on the things that are important and giving thanks. The Scripture reference is Philippians 4:1-9. Leading our musical worship this morning: David Kammerdiener (music director/piano & vocal), Vicki Riddle (clarinet & vocal), and Ron Geary (guitar & vocal).
For the Apostle Paul, the Gospel wasn’t a special knowledge or a set of rules. It was a relationship… a relationship with the living Christ. In other words, the good news wasn’t about what you know, but who you know. Join us as we look at Philippians 3:4b-14.
