Consider Your Call

“Consider your own call, brothers and sisters…” This is the advice that Paul gave to the church at Corinth. It is the advice that he gives to us today. The cross of Christ is foolishness to a world that is hung up on status and prestige, but to a follower of Jesus it is the source of strength and power as we are enabled to transform the world in which we live and love.

Same Mind & Same Purpose

Division. It’s been a problem from the very beginning. Factions and allegiances take center stage when Jesus should be our focus… not my focus, but our focus. All of us. Together. In today’s scripture reading, 1 Corinthians 1:10-18, Paul urges the church at Corinth to be of the same mind and the same purpose and not let division rule the day.
