Just a few reminders as we head into the weekend:
* Worship this Sunday only will be at 10:00 am so that I can get on my way to Lake Junaluska as soon as the worship service is ended.
* You may watch the proceedings of the Holston Annual Conference meeting at Lake Junaluska via livestream by visiting www.holston.org/live. In addition to celebrating 200 years of the ministry of Holston Conference, Pastor Jacqueline will be ordained on Sunday night at 7:45 and Pastor Wayne will be retired on Tuesday at 11:00. You are welcome to watch and participate in these services of worship and celebration.
* I will take 2 checks from McFarland: a check for the New Voices offering in the amount of $450.00 and a check for $50.00 for the Change for Children offering. These amounts were based upon what we collected prior to last Sunday’s offering. Any additional monies received will be sent to the Annual Conference in our June tithe payment.
*Next Sunday, July 16, will be my last Sunday at McFarland UMC. There will be a reception in the Hospitality Center after church. See Jan Davis for more information.
* Mike Feely will preach on June 23 and the Reverend Eric Rieger will preach on June 30. Pastor Jacqueline will begin her service here on July 1 and her first Sunday will be July 7th. More info will be forthcoming about this dual appointment with Simpson UMC as we get closer to July 1.
It has been my honor and pleasure to serve as your pastor since July 1, 2018. The past 6 years with the interruption of COVID-19 have been a challenge in so many ways and I have been blessed to know you. I look forward to our time together on June 16th as we say farewell.
