We have a hands-on missions project each year for Annual Conference. Once again, this year, the mission project for the Scenic South District is home buckets for the Ishe Anesu Project for Underprivileged Children in Zimbabwe. This is a project that we have been doing for the last few years. This year is adding a couple of elements that we haven’t supplied in the past.
Since 2019, we have sponsored 36 buckets each year and we have purchased supplies in case lots. My challenge to you this year is to sponsor 24 buckets. Any case lots in excess of 24 units will be sent to the Free Store for distribution to our area folks in need,
For 2023, it looks like the cost for a mission bucket will be $30.00 each. We’ll provide a link to purchase a bucket in the next few days. The buckets that are purchased will be dedicated on May 28.
In addition, we collect an offering for Change for Children and Ishe Anesu that we will collect from May 14-28. These offerings will be taken to Annual Conference at Lake Jumaluska. We invite you to be generous with these offerings,
