Happy Mother’s Day, y’all!

On this day we celebrate all of those women who have provided a mothering influence in our lives. We also recognize that this is not a day that everyone wants to celebrate because their experience with their mother may not be positive. Click here to download the Mother’s Day Prayer that we shared this morning in worship.

Annual Conference Update

  1. Our annual mission project is home buckets for Zimbabwe. We are bulk ordering the items with a goal of 36 buckets. Each bucket will cost $30. Click on this link to support this mission via credit or debit card or drop a check in the offering box on Sunday morning and mark it “buckets.” Bucket contributions will need to be received by May 31.
  2. Our mission offering is for Sudan. Holston has been actively involved in Sudan since 2006. Our offering will take place on May 22. Mark your check for Sudan. You can also click on the “Give Now” button at the bottom of this page and choose to give to “309 – Hands on Mission Project” and we’ll credit the gift to the proper fund. Our cutoff on these contributions is June 2.
  3. One of our regular Annual Conference offerings is our “Change for Children” offering. Normally, this offering consists of the change that our children collect on Sunday mornings. This year, we will make a $50 donation from our Storehouse Fund.

Vacation

Charlene and I learned of a vacation opportunity this morning to Cocoa Beach the week of May 22. I will arrange a sub for May 29.

As always, I am thrilled to be your pastor and I am excited about returning for a fifth year.

Blessings,
Pastor Wayne
