Our annual Charge Conference, the official business meeting of the church, occurred on Sunday, November 14, 2021, as a joint meeting of the churches of the South Ministry Network of the Scenic South District held at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church in East Ridge. We heard from Reed Shell, our District Superintendent, we shared about our ministries, and we affirmed decisions that were previously made in the committees of the church. The Leadership Team for McFarland UMC in 2022 can be found here. We are preparing to enter into a process of discernment that will lead to a Simplified Accountable Leadership structure that, if approved, will begin on January 1, 2023. You will hear more about this process in the coming months.
