Hey McFarland, Pastor Wayne here!
Once again, it is time for our annual coat drive for the Mountain View Head Start program. This year should be easy. Instead of the 30+ coats that they normally ask for, they are only asking for 15 coats this year. Basically, they need:
- Girls Size 3T (4 needed)
- Girls Size 4T (4 needed)
- Girls Size 5T (4 needed)
- Boys Size 5T (3 needed)
This should be an easy task to accomplish this year. If you want to sign up to provide a coat, there are a few ways to do it:
- You can click on this link and sign up using SignUp Genius (this is best – just follow the directions on the website)
- You can call the church at 706-866-2981 and tell Darlene what you would like to provide
- You can sign up on the sign up sheet that will be in the Narthex on Sunday morning.
This Coat Drive for Mountain View Head Start has been a long standing mission effort for McFarland UMC. The deadline to sign up to provide a coat is Tuesday, October 12. We ask that you deliver your coats to the church by Thursday, October 14. We will dedicate the coats in the worship service on Sunday, October 17. I am confident that we can easily meet this need.
