Planning for Re-opening

Planning for Re-opening

Dear McFarland Family,
We have received instructions from the Bishop regarding the steps that we need to take in order to prepare a plan to re-open the church for in-person worship. The plan that we create will need to be approved by the District Superintendent based upon a number of factors including the statistics regarding the COVID infection rate in our area.
The first step in the process is the formation of a team to create our plan. That team is chaired by Dr Marvin Mills. The second step is to survey the congregation regarding your attitudes toward re-opening, especially with the restrictions that are in place as outlined in the CDC and Holston guidelines. We are presenting this survey online via Survey Monkey and you can take this survey on your computer, tablet or smart phone.
This online version of the survey will be open until Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Your response to the survey questions is necessary for us to proceed. We will contact by telephone anyone who regularly attends worship but does not respond to the online survey.
Like you, I look forward to being back together in worship. However, we want to make sure that we are doing so in a way that does not endanger your safety, or the safety of anyone related to McFarland.
Blessings,
Pastor Wayne
