Update 4-3-2020

We are in uncertain times. None of us has been through a health crisis of this magnintude. We are all trading uncertain waters.

Even if we cannot meet together on Sunday morning, we have continuing obligations that we have to take care of. Our payroll, our utilities and the funds that we need to continue our ministries in the community must continue to be paid.

As members of the United Methodist Church, we vow to uphold the church with our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness. We need your continuing support as we continue to be in ministry to this community.

Here are the ways that we can be in support of the church in these trying times:

1) You may mail your check to the church at the following address:
     P.O. Box 156
     Rossville, GA 30741

2) You may give online by visiting our website here.
At this website, you can make a one time gift or set up a recurring gift on a
schedule that you determine. Recurring gifts happen automatically whether you
are here or not and make it easier for us to plan our finances.

3) You may make a one time gift by texting the word give to (470) 252-4400.

In this time of uncertainty, your online gifts to McFarland UMC help us to continue in ministry to the Rossville community.

We are continuing to worship online on Sunday morning. You may find the video at the McFarland UMC Facebook page or here. I hope that you are watching and inviting folks to join you.

During Holy Week, I plan to have offer a devotional daily at noon. I hope that you can join us as we worship together.

Our Easter Celebration will have to wait until we can come togehter again. And when we CAN come together again, I anticipate that we will want to celebrate in a big way.

As we travel this time together, I urge you to “be” the church: to check on one another, to pray for one another, and to hope for the time when our family can come together again. You are doing this and I am proud of you. Let me worry about how we can “do” church in this craziness.

Love y’all. Hope to see you soon.
