Hey McFarland! Pastor Wayne here. Can you believe that there are only a little less than 2 days left until the end of the decade? Where has the time gone? As we approach the end of the year, I thought that I would update you on a few things and help you get ready for the coming year.
1) Thank you to everyone who played a part in making our Advent season wonderful. To the choir, the carolers, the volunteers who helped decorate or work in the Free Store (and other ministries), you are appreciated more than you might imagine. We are the hands and feet of Christ and you are active.
2) The coin boxes for the Society of St. Andrew are due this Sunday, January 5th. Please try to have your box here by then (or let us know that you will get it to us within a few days of that date). We want to forward what we’ve collected to the Society of St Andrews as soon as we can.
3) Our Christmas Eve offering for the Backpack Blessings program that provides food over the weekends to children in need in the Rossville Schools was $152.50. Thank you to everyone who contributed.
4) If you want to make a year end contribution to the church, you still have time to do so. We want to make giving as easy as possible for you. There are 2 ways to give before December 31: by debit/credit or ACH bank transfer by clicking here or by mailing a check to McFarland UMC, 101 E. Gordon Ave., Rossville, GA 30741.
We have faced some challenges this past year, but we have moved through them with God’s help. I want to thank each of you for your prayers and support. I look forward to spending 2020 with you. Happy New Year!
